New Chronicles of Mudfog - Board Game Production (2025)

"New Chronicles of Mudfog" is a historical board game project brought to you by House of StarsThrough the delivery of engaging workshops in schools we have transformed Dickensian themes into AR games, celebrating Chatham’s history of migration and creativity.Officially debuted at NCM MiniCon hosted at Sun Pier House and Chatham Highstreet on the 12th July 2025.The table top game tells a vast range of personal stories developed into characters and research from Medway Archives and the Historic Dockyard - with a transformed steampunk'ed Map of Chatham!

I’m Rosemary Chea aka illuroses, a freelance illustrator and community arts facilitator based in Kent, UK. I specialise in illustrated zines, character design and full digital illustrations typically inspired by traditional folklore and personal tales. I've worked with and alongside art clown town (an art collective based in the UK), House of Stars (Art Org) and Sun Pier House (Art Org).illuroses is a personal illustration and crafts business that offers a range of illustrations from atmospheric original art to various fanworks (OMORI, Vocaloid, FF14). "Japanese Short Stories" introduced by Haruki Murakami -Book Cover and Internal Illustrations (2021)

Original book cover and internal illustrations adapting 2 short stories from the Penguin Book of Japanese Short Stories introduced by Haruki Murakami and translated by Jay Rubin. Submitted in response to the “Interpretation of Text” unit at AUB.The chosen short stories are:
“Hell Screen” by Akutagawa Ryunosuke.“Filling up with Sugar” by Yuten Sawanishi.Each story is accompanied by 2 full illustrations. Both texts are categorised by Jay Rubin whom places them under “dread” yet their definitions of the word differ greatly from the difference in era to the themes.

Webtoon of Hope x Baton of Hope - Webtoon&Workshop Series(2025)

Webtoon of Hope is an anthology of yonkoma manga, ("four cell manga" or 4-koma for short) With work created by young people in Medway showcases short illustrated stories inspired by themes of hope, strength and resilience to help spark conversations about mental health and wellbeing.This collection of work is showcased alongside The Baton of Hope tour in Kent and Medway (22nd September 2025). "A Town in Lieu" - AR interative Zine (2023)

An interactive AR zine by Nadia Perrotta and Rosemary Chea answering the big question: What brings you to Luton, Chatham? Co-commissioned by Electric Medway and MSL Discover, exhibited as part of Electric Medway Festival 2023.This project dives into the many personal stories from Luton's migrant residents. They worked with students from local schools and shoppers at the store to draw out the threads of their family history and weave them into a digital experience. "Curse of the Gashadokuro" - Accordion Book (2022)

Curse of the Gashadokuro, is a 10 page accordion book exploring the tale and traits of the gashadokuro in the context of the present day within the routine of a salary worker - Made for submission to my Major Project at AUB 2022.A gashadokuro is a mythical creature in Japanese mythology which takes the form of a large skeletal giant who wonders and collects lost souls wandering abandoned battlefields and famine ridden villages. Using the gashadokuro as a motif for money hungry leaders within a toxic workplace, leading to overall extreme cases of over exhaustion and mental decline in salary workers. These salary workers become the lost souls targeted by a greater force.Handmade Book Cover + 10 full pages.Exhibited at AUB Summer Show 2022.
